How To Recreate Villanelle's Outfits using Rent The Runway

I’ve written before about my obsession with the show Killing Eve, and my fascination with the main character, Villanelle.

Don’t let the gif fool you, she’s actually a murderous psychopath. But one of the things that makes her so fun to watch on screen is her fashion taste.

Villanelle is deadly, obsessive, and has a wonderfully glamorous taste that Killing Eve viewers get to watch all over Europe (but I won’t give too much about the show away).

If you - like me - are looking for ways to dress like Villanelle on a budget, let me show you some outfit recreations I found using Rent the Runway (which, like Villanelle, I’m also obsessed with).

Her red pantsuit in Italy

This jumpsuit is a wonderful match to look like Villanelle in Rome. All you need to do is pair it with a black belt (and, I suppose, a small handgun) and the look is complete. Viola!

Her black mourning dress

This dress that Villanelle dramatically wears can be yours - check out Rebecca Minkoff’s Micro Dot Kimberly Dress for a near-perfect duplicate.

Her motorcycle outfit

It’s not a perfect match, but this top has the same ribbon detail that Villanelle’s does. Opt to pair this with a darker set of jean shorts (since the top is darker than Villanelle’s) and get on that motorcycle!

Her blue floral family dress

This dress was such a beautiful look. Rent it by getting Paper Crown’s Lafayette Maxi. It’s a perfect summer look for the park, walking by the water, or you know…potentially murdering and traumatizing people.

Her tapestry bomber jacket

This bomber jacket is another very close match! Before watching Killing Eve I had never seen a Tapestry Bomber, but it’s a very unique look. Check out Fifteen Twenty’s Tapestry Bomber Jacket to recreate this look.

Her glamorous night-out suit

This super cool suit is a great look to wear for a fun night out (whether that night entails dancing or stabbing depends on if you’re Villanelle or not). Check out the Tanya Taylor Analiese Blazer which has a great shimmer to it.

Her wooly beige coat

Match Villanelle with this jacket from Astr. She pairs this jacket with a long, light pink shirt and, of course…a gun. I suggest wearing it with anything underneath, and leaving the gun at home, but to each their own.

Her plaid ensemble

I have to be honest, I don’t know why someone would want to wear green and orange plaid, but if you’re looking to do so this piece has got you covered. Jodie Comer (who plays Villanelle) is just so incredibly striking that she can pull it off in a fantastic way.

Her red and white sundress to eat ice cream in

This sundress is a great match to Villanelle’s. Her entire look for this scene is actually one of my favorites - something about the vanilla ice cream cone, her gold accessories, and the dress just tie together wonderfully.

Her pink trench coat

This trench coat is a few shades lighter, but gets the job done in comparing to Villanelle (out shopping, like the fashionable assassin that she is).

The one outfit I haven’t been able to find a dupe for yet is this amazing green silk set below. So if anyone has seen anything similar, please let me know! I’m coveting it massively.

If you’re interested in joining Rent the Runway (I adore them, I actually pay extra to have 6 spots a month with them) you can get $100 off your membership by using my code here.

I hope everyone else is as excited for Season 3 of Killing Eve as I am. I can’t wait to see what Villanelle does (and wears) next!

Happy New Year,
