Wear The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel outfits using Rent the Runway

A few weeks ago, I got my wisdom teeth out and binged all of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel in a painkiller stupor.

In between taking bites of Jell-O and taking breaks to ice my face, I came to the realization that I need to throw out everything my closet and start dressing like Midge Maisel.

The fashion styles in this show are incredible.

However, unlike Midge Maisel I pay and support for my own life, so buying an entire wardrobe was sadly not an option.

I am, however a Rent the Runway unlimited member, so I took to the website to try and find some matches to Midge’s outfits. Here’s what I found.

Her long pink coat

This Nanette Lepore coat is a slightly darker pink, but has the same draping finish which is what I love the most about Midge’s coat in this scene! Her coat is a beautiful mix of a flowing cape and a structured wool jacket together, and this Raspberry Maggie Coat gives the same illusion when worn.

Her Catskills yellow dress

How incredible were the Catskills episodes? I loved how they were shot, and of course…the clothes worn in them. This beautiful Moon River dress is a great duplicate for what Midge wears when she first arrives to the Catskills.

The green bail-out dress

This green dress that Midge wears while bailing someone out prison (haha) is a stunning piece. I wasn’t able to find a dress in exactly the same color, but the Green Ruth Dress by M.M.LaFleur is a very similar cut on. I’ve worn this one before to a Christmas party and it’s just a stunning style that impresses without being too extra.

Her purple silk coat

This stunning satin jacket is an exquisite piece. I’ve also rented this one before, and I always get compliments on it when I wear it out. Midge is wearing a purple satin coat in this scene (while in court) and the Suki Satin Jacket gives off the same luxury look as hers .

Her green B. Altman’s outfit

This emerald green piece Midge wears while working at B. Altman is beautiful! It’s hard to find pieces that match the suit jacket/skirt bottom pieces of that era, but this Faux Wrap Tuxedo Dress by Badgley Mischka does a great job.

Her bow-tie work dress

While it’s not a perfect match, this sweater resembles Midge’s bow accessory in one of her B. Altman’s outfits. This Cream Bow Sweater is a great way to match Midge’s style while still looking 21st Century.

Her classic blue a-line dress

This Blue Flare Suit Dress does a near-perfect job of replicating the dresses on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. It’s a flattering cut, has fitted sleeves, and a gorgeous A-line silhouette.

The bow-tie dress she performs in

While this match varies in color, the actual design is nearly spot-on. One of my favorite Midge looks is this black dress with bow-tie straps that she often performs in. A very expensive replicate of this is the Christian Siriano Burgundy Shoulder Dress.

Rent the Runway unlimited members can rent it for the same price as anything else on the website, thank god, because it is a true beauty.

Her outfit when she performed for the troops

I love the dress that Midge performs to the troops in. It’s a stunning, feminine look that uses long white gloves to really take it over the edge. A great duplicate that I found was this beautiful jumpsuit has the same silk bow feature as Midge’s dress.

If you’re interested in joining Rent the Runway (I adore them, I actually pay extra to have 6 spots a month with them, that’s how much I like the service) you can get $100 off your membership by using my code here.
